Kemampuan Kognitif-Nonkognitif dan Labor Market Outcomes: Studi Empiris Menggunakan Data IFLS 2014
Abstract
Modal manusia menjadi salah satu aspek penting dalam pembangunan suatu negara. Pada tingkatan individu, aspek kognitif dan nonkognitif adalah bentuk penilaian terhadap kapasitas SDM suatu individu. Aspek kognitif adalah kemampuan seseorang yang berkaitan dengan potensi intelektual, sedangkan aspek nonkognitif merupakan kemampuan seseorang yang berkaitan dengan sosial dan emosional. Makalah ini menyelidiki hubungan antara keterampilan kognitif-non-kognitif dan sektor pekerjaan dalam pasar kerja (sektor formal/informal). Dengan menggunakan regresi logit dan bias pemilihan sampel, analisis menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan nonkognitif secara signifikan mempengaruhi seseorang untuk memasuki sektor formal, sedangkan keterampilan kognitif berhubungan negatif dengan sektor formal. Dapat dikatakan bahwa seseorang dengan kepribadian yang baik akan cenderung memasuki sektor formal.
